Each student has a personal Wix page--a space to collect and showcase all of their coursework. In-class work and journal writings will be posted regularly. Two major papers--a snapshot essay and a researched essay--will be presented in individual tabs, taking advantage of the website as a genre to reach digital audiences. Ultimately, the Wix page should demonstrate what the student has learned about rhetorical situation--how to manipulate their writing (through its design and style) to target a specific audience and fulfill a specific purpose. Their Wix page should be well organized, and customized to reflect their own personalities and work. At the end of the semester, students will have the opportunity to reflect on how their writing has changed, and what skills they've developed that will be useful to them beyond this class.
